Tarrant from SS: after help with Search Engine Optimisation

Post by Tarrant1 » Sat Nov 23, 2013 7:40 pm

Hi,

Its Tarrant here. I'm looking for someone who knows about this stuff to take a look at and rejig the website for my company: http://www.vansforbands.co.uk . Frank suggested that I should ask you guys..! This is obviously paid work. If anybody knows about this stuff and would be interested in doing it, or has a recommendation for who I should contact, let me know!

Thanks!

Tarrant

Your post title totally makes you look like a spambot. Also: hi, I'm sitting to your left.

I also ignored this thinking it was linked to being offered a fluffy kitten.

Perhaps one of the board's MODs knows something about web design. Alas, I do not.

For my day job I actually work for a company that does SEO/web design/internet marketing. I'm not that hugely informed, as I'm just the content jockey, but my boss is kind of a genius at SEO work.

I've done a bit of SEO stuff in the past ...

From a very quick look at the source on your home page a few things I picked up on straight away.

Change your TITLE in thea html - you have its spelt out as V A N S F O R etc ... use that title description wisely - maybe change it to 'Vans for bands - splitters for musicians at affordable prices' ...

Then within the site - use the image ALT tags a bit better - that tag line I put above 'Vans for bands - splitters for musicians at affordable prices' - can be used across the whole site in images and will get picked up in google.

If you want any more tips or for a bit more info email me - Frank has my email address.

I am not an expert at SEO - but would more than happily advise based on what I know. I am an IT project manager by day and implement websites as part of my job. Dan
