Not positive that's a 1st press of Bleach. My doubt is raised by the sticker, which was used on a bootleg that is an almost perfect recreation, but is not the original pressing. You can tell by the matrix code - what does it say? I've never seen the first press with a sticker - that doesn't mean it didn't have one, just that I have never seen one (have done a lot of research on this subject, as I have been after one myself for quite some time)

If it is real though, you shouldn't take less than £120, but realistically you could be looking at a lot more. You should add the matrix to the listing, as people won't trust it otherwise. There is A LOT of bootlegs of that particular record, as there was only 300 made and they obviously went on to sell millions of records. I sold a black Tupelo 1st press for £90 a few years back.

Thanks for the info, I did spend ages on the net trying to confirm or deny when I got it. I got it for a tenner, trembling slightly as I handed over the cash as I knew its potenial potenial.
I'll change the listing.
Do you know if the bootlegs go for anything?

The fail safe way to check is to read the matrix, on the run out of the record.
This is the real one:https://www.discogs.com/Nirvana-Bleach/release/1080322
This is the one I reckon you have: https://www.discogs.com/Nirvana-Bleach/release/6202986

However, the plot thickens beyond here also, as there is also a bootleg with the same matrix as the original, but JUST slightly different. I can't find the info on that right now, but that bootleg is proper flimsy vinyl, and has the CD tracklisting in contrast to what it says on the labels (ie: Love Buzz is on there instead of Big Cheese). In fact, if it's got Love Buzz on there, it's a bootleg or a re-press.

They go for about £20 if in good condition. I picked one up for as little as £15 once.

Ahhh, It's coming together, I also read about the incorrect track listing somewhere, but mine was correct, so I mistook that as one indication of authenticity.

Not that I questioned you, but everything you've said checks out and I have the Bleach A / Bleach B matrix with correct track listing. Thanks for pointing this out and saving me the embarrassment and hassle of sorting it out post sale.

I've updated the listing to suit

No worries. Once upon a time - for many years in fact - I thought I had an original. I was thrilled with my find as I got it for a very decent price off someone I figured just didn't know what it was (it was a really crappy second hand record store somewhere). I was unemployed for a while and needed to pay the rent so decided to shift it along with some other stuff. I had bids over £70 with 4 days to go, until some very friendly ebayer schooled me on the whole debacle, and since then I have become quite well versed on the subject.

Really hoping to get one, as we're in Warsaw for FTs gig this day... Hopefully one of my two record stores gets one and keep it for me. :(

is it the same as the acoustic bonus disc version or does it have 'angel of' and 'song for josh' re recorded too?

Not a clue. My money is on it being the same as the bonus disc.

Both are pretty much acoustic anyway, I don't think there's much point in re-recording them.

I am about to get rid of some records (as I am broke), and in there is going to be some Turner stuff. Although not entirely sure what just yet, I will definitely be selling a red and a brown Epitaph pressing of Sleep Is For The Week - opened, but unplayed. So I thought I would offer them here first if anyone is interested?

Nice to see there are about a dozen RSD releases on there for double the retail cost.

If anyone did get two and wants to sell one at a not so inflated price I'd be interested in getting one.

Angel and Song for Josh are included on the copy I picked up yesterday. Five copies left at Amoeba San Francisco at the end of the day yesterday.

I'd be interested in TFTY splatter discs version if you're willing to part with them.
