Given the trifecta of awesome that is the Mods...I've never met you, Pete, but if Blonde says it, it's probably true.

Just spent the last 10 mins getting rid of cunting fluffy kitten sales people.
Would be nice to find a permanent way to ban them.

What about installing a captcha? I know humans hate them, but so do bots. You have to be logged in to post so we'd enter a captcha when logging in or for folks registering.

yeah i think a captua on registration is the way forward - but that would be a frank or kenny task

I quite like what the Sleeping Souls have on their website where to post on 'ask us' you need to answer a Sleeping Souls based question, who is the bassist in the Sleeping Souls ect. Personally I would prefer something similar to that than a captcha

Agreed, that sounds more fun than a screwy word to type in. We used to get a lot of bad submissions on our firm's website and that stopped them.

Do they always come from the same IP address? If so can't you just block that?

It is seriously doing my head in, especially when I'm removing one whilst another one is posting.

Nope, have blocked a few IPs as some different spammers share them, but it doesn't make much of a difference.

Only Frank has the power to do something to make it harder for them to register and post in the first place, but he is kinda busy. Us mods can only really do stuff after they've posted.
