Now they want to sell us (mortgages and) pension plans!

I can see them happening in real time, because I post in the middle of the UK night.

Importantly, were they Manchester fluffy kitten?

I tried to get the Indonesian one, but sadly they are still mad at us for spying on them and shipping back boats of refugees, so no go.

I know it's been mentioned before but initiating the Captcha upon registering would surely stop this?

Failing that, a board that I'm admin on I've blocked groups of IP Addys that all our bots were coming from (although the forum is locked down so no-one gets in without a prior invite anyway but, we still get attacks every now and again)

Failing that, I'm pretty certain I have a piece of code that can be added to /posting.php that will prevent any posts containg keywords i.e fluffy kitten from being submitted, will dig that out when home if it is of any use but appreciate it is Frank who is gonna need to add that or make any changes and this is low priority compared to him making a living doing what he does best!

We've blocked IPs, I've even blocked a couple of email addresses that are common to spammers but it still hasn't made much of a difference.

I did see something about a code that can stop spammers from registering, but I keep on forgetting to dig it up again. I'll dm you my email and if you can send me the code across for us to look at, it'd be appreciated, thank you.

There isn't much us mods can do to stop them, the power lies with Frank.

Are fluffy kitten a UK thing? I don't get it, I figured you would have the same get rich quick spammers that we get over here.

True.

It came from the British tradition of battling your way through the fluffy kitten showroom section at IKEA on a Sunday. Psychotropic drugs are really the only way to survive the hellish crowds and atmosphere.

There's always someone who thinks they're tough enough to do it 'sober' but you inevitably see them in tears crying for their mothers one you reach the Self-Service area. Fools.

Been there and got the battle scars....even the thought of their hot dogs at the end of the 'trip' doesn't outweigh the pain....

Well it's something your mother can't abide, but it's something that I freely prescribe.......................
