I listened to "Defenitely maybe" the other day. I remembered every word to every song. Not a bad song on it.

Green Day - American Idiot
Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten
The Beatles - Rubber Soul, Revolver

Bought all the Smith Street Band albums at the Philly show, and I have not skipped a single song yet! One of my all time favorite lines from Sigourney Weaver...you turn around and give me a one look vasectomy...so awesome! I love Wil's lyrics so much.

Thank goodness I don't have balls. For I would feel no embarrassment about posting such things. Perhaps it's because I have no such anatomical concerns?RickM wrote:For Emma, Forever ago and Pennybridge PioneersCassie wrote:Please please tell!!! Lol!RickM wrote:

Glad someone else likes them! Their other albums are worth a listen to but The Remote Part and 100 Broken Windows definitely stand out for me.rokman wrote:Shout out to Idlewild! I read somebody talking about Definitely Maybe.... That reminded me how much I also used to love that album and What's the Story.... This is a great thread as it's making me remember all the music I haven't heard for ages!
Re: Albums you love all the way through
I love concept albums. I really like them if the songs blend together.
Abbey Road - The grand daddy of all concept albums
Skylarking - XTC
Separation Sunday - The Hold Steady. Who is the hoodrat?
Then I'd go with:
Car Wheels on a Gravel Road - Lucinda (I'm petitioning her to single name status like Cher)
Blood on the Tracks - Dylan
Rocks the House - Etta James. Screw BB King's "Live at the Regal" Best...blues...album...EVER. Or best bluesy soul album. I'm not sure.

Relax. This won't hurt.

Am I a loser if I reply to my own post?
"Waiting for Columbus".
I'll burn all my cd's if I can't have that one.
