When you get caught out in a cold rain but get to go right home for a hot shower. Aaah!

The sound of "I DID IT!" from my kid. Nothing like that pride.

The smell of honeysuckle. Or a cedar fire.

Finding a new cd at a bargain price......., Down in Cork a few weeks back visiting my sister and the local family-run super market has an astonishingly good bargain cd rack, got Weller's Live Wood (to replace my scratched to fuck original) and The Jarvis Cocker album for €3 each, happy days.

We can end this thread here.
Yes and no. I would be 1000% in agreement if we could just add "bra" to the list of removal items. Ahh, nothing like it.
I love taking a bra off at the end of a day.

Being greeted by Barney my dog when I come into the house. Doesn't matter if I've been out for 4 minutes or 4 hours - he'll come bounding up to me with his tail going double time and his tongue lolling out and look up at me with his big brown eyes full of unconditional love. It's the best.

Small things… in no particular order….

Mmmmm that first sip of coffee in the morning
The second sip of coffee in the morning…
First piece of chocolate for the day
Hugs from someone you trust
Seeing something that makes you think “Wow!” (Nature stuff for me mostly)
Seeing an unexpected pleasing view (like walking in a city and suddenly seeing an amazing piece of architecture, or walking down the street and seeing someone who has a beautiful tattoo)
Reading or re-reading a book and getting so involved that you feel like you are there
Getting caught up in a piece of music or song, so much so that it takes over, and whatever was bothering you before has totally disappeared because only the music remains
Taking a photograph thinking it will just about be ok and then realising it was actually quite good
Finding out a band you love will be playing locally, on a day you can go, at a price you can afford!
Finding stuff in charity shops – books and cd’s mostly – that you have wanted for ages, haven’t been able to find, and it’s in good condition and a good price!
Taking off shoes!
Getting into a hot bath after a long day, shutting the door, and pretending I’m in a geothermal pool… (Iceland or New Zealand for my personal preference)
Being greeted by your (or a friends) pet like it hasn’t seen you for days
Having a cat curl up in your lap, or across your feet and purr at you
Having a dog sit on your feet and put their head in your lap
That moment when you realise that the thing you have been trying to do for what feels like a gazillion years – you just did it successfully
Not an everyday thing – but that moment skiing when you are the only person on the piste, you have good ski position, the sun is out, and you are traveling at 90kmp (approx.) and are totally in control….

No order. I can probably think of about 100 that pertain to my car, my cat and music, but I cut it down to a random sampling.
-hearing the opening notes of Comfortably Numb
-trying to type with my cat curled up on my arms
-sound of a Mercedes OM603 engine
-that moment when you first test something you've fixed yourself and it works
-the big duel scene in Once Upon A Time In The West
-that tool that's a magnet on a telescoping stick
-cereal with soymilk
-open highway on a clear day

Nonononoo you can't just casually chuck that in and not elaborate! We need to know... why did you put a sock in a toaster?
