Songs I've Not Heard Live

Post by Iwillnotgrowup » Tue Jun 25, 2013 8:31 pm

So, I've got too much spare time on my hands so I decided to go through each of Franks studio albums to see which songs I have seen performed live off of each album.

For the ones that I need to hear I shall be taking big signs to gigs, as per Bruce Springsteen gigs, so that he can play the songs that I need to hear from each album.

I've decided to list only the songs that I have NOT heard from each album:

Sleep Is For The Week:
NIL

Love Ire & Song:
Better Half
Imperfect Tense
A Love Worth Keeping

Poetry Of The Deed:
Live Fast Die Old
The Fastest Way Back Home
Faithful Son
Richard Devine
Sunday Nights
Our Lady of The Campfire
Journey of The Magi

England Keep My Bones:
Rivers
English Curse
Nights Become Days
Redemption

Tape Deck Heart:
Good & Gone
The King Fisher Blues
Anymore
Oh Brother
Broken Piano

I have also heard the following songs at various points:
Nashville Tennesse
Balthazar
Smiling At Strangers On Trains
Linoleum
Somebody To Love
Times They Are A Changin'
Casanova Lament
Delilah
Rock & Roll Romance
Plea From a Cat Named Virtute

I think that is everything. My OCD will not be happy until each album is "complete"

I really need to get out more.

Join in if you're as sad as me.

Front Crawl
Longing for the Day

Better Half
Sunday Nights

Pass It Along
To Absent Friends
The Next Round
Wanderlust

Rivers

The Kingfisher Blues
Oh Brother
Broken Piano

We Shall Not Overcome
Wherefore Art Thou Gene Simmons
Tattoos
Undeveloped Film
Time Machine

Songs I haven't heard:
SIFTW:
Romantic Fatigue
Decent cup of tea
Worse things happen at sea
My kingdom for a horse
Back in the day
Once we were anarchists
Wisdom Teeth
Ladies of London Town
Must try harder
(only heard real damage, fathers day and ballad) :(

LI&S:
Better half
Imperfect tense
A love worth keeping
Jetlag

POTD:
Live fast die old
Poetry of the deed
Faithful son
Richard Divine
Sunday nights
Our lady of the Campfires
Journey of the Magi

EKMB:
Rivers
English curse
Nights become days
Song for Eva Mae
Wanderlust
Sailors boots

TDH:
The fisher king blues
Oh Brother
Broken Piano
We shall not overcome
Wherefore art thou gene Simmons
Tattoos
Undeveloped film
Time Machine

This is in 7 gigs, stretching back to the main UK leg of the EKMB tour...(latecomer I know) anyway; I guess what surprises me most writing this is how little of an airing the songs on POTD beyond The Road, Try this at home, and Dan's song seem to get (and sons of liberty I guess, but haven't seen that since Wembley)...I'd of thought Poetry of the Deed (title track) or Live fast die old would get played more frequently, yet I still have yet to see them for some reason! Other than that, would like to see more off the first album for sure...LI&S seems pretty complete to me in terms of songs that are in any way likely to ever be played haha!

There is no maybe. It's definitely Mae. I signed the documents to register her as a person.

I was thinking about this recently talking with Valerie. I don't have a definite recollection on everything I've heard. I would rather do this than actual work so to the best of my recollection this is what I've not heard:

SIFTW
A Decent Cup of Tea
Vital Signs
Father's Day
Wisdom Teeth
The Ladies of London Town
Must Try Harder

LI&S
Better Half
Imperfect Tense
A Love Worth Keeping

POTD
Richard Divine
Our Lady of the Campfire

EKMB
Nights Become Days

TDH
The Fisher King Blues
Oh Brother
Broken Piano

13Y
Thatcher Fucked the Kids
This Town Ain’t Big Enough for the One of Me
Casanova Lament
I Really Don’t Care What You Did On Your Gap Year
You Are My Sunshine
Sea Legs
Back to Sleep
Heartless Bastard Motherfucker
Pay to Cum
Fix Me
Hold Your Tongue
Front Crawl
The District Sleeps Alone Tonight
Longing For The Day

23Y
Pass It Along
Rock & Roll Romance
To Absent Friends
Wanderlust
Balthazar, Impresario
Mr Richards
Song to Bob
Sally
The Quiet One
Build Me Up Buttercup
Linoleum
The Slow Train
The Greatest Day
My Poor Friend Me
On A Plain
Last Christmas

That was a glorious distraction. Thank you.

I remembered most of the songs that I'd heard but being a sad case I double checked on a setlist website.

This is what I'll have to do, I'll never be able to remember what I've seen, especially as my mind erased the memory of seeing Polaroid Picture at the Forum gig. (Thank fuck that gig is on YouTube)

I'm not sure I want to find out, there's probably loads that I haven't seen live that I don't realise. But I know I've seen all my favourites so I'm happy enough with that!

I couldn't even remember hearing Losing Days on Monday night at The Joiners until I saw a video of it just a minute ago on The NME website. Fuck me, I must be getting old if I can't even remember 2 nights ago!!

I didn't even think to check a set list website which was super dumb of me, though I'm sure a lot be there. It also just occurred to me to check bootlegs. I went through the album lists on wikipedia and thought about what I wasn't sure I'd heard.
