Awesome stuff though (the album, not my tone-deaf duetting . . .)

I've listened to it a bunch of times now and it's really good stuff, even if i'd say I enjoyed The second three years way much...

The positive points : Riot song, Something of freedom, Pancho and lefty, Fields of june and Sweet albion blues which are absolutely awesome !

The negative points : The covers of Queen, McCartney and Springsteen are doing nothing for me( whereas Thunder Road was magnificent) and I don't see the reason why those versions of The way I tend to be, plain sailing weather and tell tale signs are here...I'd rather have Who's got a match, plea from a cat, modenr leper and longing for the day instead).

Overall, It's all good :)

Have really enjoyed this today, more than I had anticipated. Before I listened, I was put off by the fact that there were songs on there that were simply reworked. However, I was wrong to be concerned. I love these arrangements. Each of the tracks on TTY from Tape Deck Heart to me is preferable to the TDH versions. Simpler. The covers are so much better than the YouTube versions I was familiar with. Then there are the tracks I was unfamiliar with. It's such a fun album, and a bargain at 21 tracks!

I like this version of good and gone better but I'd say the album version of TWITTB is a touch better than this. Also the album version of broken piano is perfection, and can't be beat. I'd already over listened to the queen and McCartney covers so not much to say about them. I like the noël coward song a lot. And pancho and lefty is superb. If there's anything else I'm skipping through just now it's fields of June. Again due to previous over listening and not because I don't like it.

Venturing out from the safety of lurkdom to say..... Exactly! - my initial reservations, and my first impressions too x

Does anyone know when this will be available on iTunes in the US? I've heard most of the tracks and enjoyed most but I can't see that I can purchase them on iTunes here in the US.

I don't think you can (or will be able to) get it on iTunes USA.

But you can physically buy and download from xtra Mile recordings.
