Rock radio stations?

Post by KangarooAlice » Sat May 04, 2013 3:18 pm

This isn't FT related exactly, but thought as there's people from everywhere on here it might be a good place to ask? :) What radio stations do you listen to, especially ones outside of the UK? With world radio apps etc it seems mad to just listen to local ones!

Top of my list are BBC 6Music & XFM, as I'm outside the UK (Ireland) these aren't local.

Further afield I'd listen to WFUV New York, KCRW and the odd time KROQ both from L.A.. KCRW has a programme called Morning Becomes Eclectic which has been a firm favourite since I began using t'internet as a music resource, the station keeps an excellent online archive of the sessions.

NPR.org is always worth a look as it highlights sessions and concerts from across various independent U.S. stations.

Thanks for the tip on the Tune-In Radio app. I'm loving it. Out of curiosity, is the upgraded app worth it?

Thanks again.
