Easy FTHC Song to play on guitar

Post by balverin » Wed May 01, 2013 3:28 pm

Hi folks,

what's the easiest Frank Turner Song to play on guitar?
I am a beginner and play mostly open chords and easy strumming patterns so what's the best one to start with from Franks catalogue?

Sorry if there's already a topic about that, couln't find any.

cheers.

You can't go wrong with Eulogy, pretty simple and strumming doesn't really matter.

Generally speaking you'll be able to pick up most without too much difficulty, try the ballad of me and my friends and just do a basic down down up up down up filler (i'm pretty sure that's NOT how frank plays it put it sounds quite good)

Photosynthesis is essentially 4 or 5 chords, as is I Still Believe. Ballad is maybe 6 or 7. Check out the tabs and chords on ultimate guitar. com or ask on here. Lots of us play Frank's songs and would be more than happy to offer some tips or advice.
So if ever a man should ask you for your business or your name, tell him to go and fuck himself and tell his friends to do the same.

What he said. I'm terrible at guitar but if you do a basic strumming pattern to Ballad it sounds quite good

Other than English Curse....Isabel, Glory Hallelujah, and Ballad of Me and My Friends are pretty simple and fun to play.

The strumming is really hard if you're a beginner!

The strumming pattern made me feel like a complete beginner again, just couldn't wrap my head around it at first.

I'm a fairly novice guitar player and the first FT song I learnt was actually a cover he did by a guy called Chris TT of 'Huntsman Comes A Marching,' very simple to pick up.

That being said most popular ones (ballad of me and my friends, try this at home, I still believe, Photosynthesis, If Ever I Stray) all follow pretty simple chord structures and you can make them as simple or as complicated as you want them to be and still sound pretty good.
