Also, I agree with Million Dead albums, though the cheapest I've found them is £45! It's what Iisten to when Frank albums are just not angry enough, but I can't find them!!! Grrrr.

I feel sort of out of place recommending these, but you never know! Uhh, Tired of Hanging Around by The Zutons, Save the World, Get the Girl by The King Blues, Outside There's a Curse by Ben Marwood, My Head is an Animal by Of Monsters and Men and the self-titled Lumineers album.

There's also albums that everyone should have already heard, like The Wall and Led Zeppelin II(Whole Lotta Love/Ramble On, anyone?) which are the first ones to spring into my mind. (Obviously there's JL&TSS and Million Dead etc but they've been mentioned.)
Upcoming: Cecil Sharp House, Royal Albert Hall

Off the top of my head, I think everybody needs to listen to these albums, at least once:

Drunken Lullabies - Flogging Molly
The River - Bruce Springsteen
Born in The USA - Bruce Springsteen
15 - Buckcherry
Back In Black - AC/DC
August and Everything After - The Counting Crows
Ten- Pearl Jam
Hysteria - Def Leppard
Gaslight Anthem - The 59 Sound
Handwritten - Gaslight Anthem
Big Ones - Aerosmith
New Jersey - Bon Jovi
Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi
Appetite For Destruction - Guns N' Roses
Use Your Illusion 2 - Guns N' Roses
III - Chickenfoot
Pure Cult - The Cult
Rock N Roll Jesus - Kid Rock
Sigh No More - Mumford and Sons
The Black Album - Metallica
Rum, Sodomy and The Lash - The Pogues
Grave Dancers Union - Soul Asylum

Too many to mention, I'd be here all day.

Also the greatest hits of Queen, The Eagles, The Band, The Beach Boys, Lynyrd Skynrd, KoRn, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Who would be a good place to start exploring these bands.

Replacements - Tim (or Let It Be)

Without those records there wouldnt be Nirvana, Green Day, Gaslight Anthem or any those kinda bands. And then listen any of those early R.E.M. records (Murmur, Life Rich Pageant...)

Couple new ones:
Dave Hause - Resolutions
Cory Branan - MUTT
1326, 1327, 1385, 1527, 1536

Jonsi - Go.
You should listen to it especially if you're a fan of Sigur Ros as its a solo album by one of them. It's like an upbeat Sigur Ros with more layers to the music.

Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf.
One of my favourite albums ever.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell
At least listen to the song 'Maps'
