The First Three Years question

Post by SanDimas1988 » Tue Apr 03, 2012 3:10 pm

I'm wondering where a couple of the songs on The First Three Years originally came from. Wikipedia says Pay To Cum and Fix Me were originally on The Softcore Tour CD, and Photosynthesis, Worse Things Happen, and Imperfect Tense were originally from Trucks Sessions.

My question, anyone have any information about The Softcore Tour CD or Trucks Sessions? I can't find information about either of these. I'm looking to buy all physical releases of Frank songs, so I'll be looking for The Softcore Tour CD, but is Trucks Seassions a CD as well?

The Softcore CD was sold on the Softcore Tour with Jonah "Mantangler" Matranga, Jacob Golden, and Josh English. It featuring 2 cover versions of famous hardcore songs by each artists and cost £5. Mantangler did a Guns N Roses song for some reason, which is about as Hardcore as my Mum's scarf. It's an Ok CD, with an unknown run (I personally burnt and packaged about 30 of the fuckers during soundcheck at the London show, and more during the show itself - to order, after we ran out (I was on merch)

The Truck Sessions were online I believe.

Thanks for the help, you're always the one to go to with the discography questions. If only it were as easy to find the actual CDs as it is to get information.

Actually, I did not know that. Of course I'm at my desk listening to it now, but not the real album, the XMR promo in a plastic sleeve without them.

And from your blog about vinyl, you are quite a "well of useless information". Cool information though.

Have you gotten mentions in any other songs than Eva Mae?
I'd rather be the one who loves than to be loved and never even know.

It was the Softcore tour in which they all stayed at my house and Frank left his boxers in my sleeping bag .... If I had know then how popular he was to become I would have sealed them in a glass frame and sold them on eBay.

His album was a bit of a let down I have to admit.

I must disagree. I think it's ace - especially the last song.

Evan, I'll write a whole song about you sometime if you like.

It's been a while since I listened to it, so may crack it out. But I seeing as I was introduced to his music live, the dissapointment came from the album not living up to that performance. On the other hand, I thought he did the best tracks on the Softcore CD

hahahaha...no you won't.

Kind of. I gave him the words, and he sang it on the Plinth in Trafalgar Square - which was nice. I believe the words were "Evan is the man, Evan is great, Evan is hardly ever late" or something. He's a good egg, Chris.
