Got 7"s by Frank, Patti Smith, Sugar, Civil Wars, Levellers and Run DMC/Carolina Chocolate Drops. Missed out on Morrissey and the shop didn't get any of the Cure LPs

Crash had 38 delivered so might be worth trying them on Monday to see if they have any left

good day yesterday first record store and got to spend it with friends, got Frank, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Mastadon/Feist and BRMC.

forgot about Horrible Crows but will be looking after I have been paid for some of the other releases I couldn't afford
was worth travelling for as well, although such an early alarm call was not welcome

Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if we'd have gone straight to sleep instead of staying up laughing!

I got the Frank 7", The Futureheads, Elbow, Black Keys and The Kinks - Something Else. Would have got more if I could afford it! I also won a Cribs 7" in the raffle!

The sell vinyl to MP3 converters which connect to computers via USB. They're not very expensive, however you'd obviously only buy it if you hvae a lot of records you want to convert.

On an unrelated note, I assume I'm the only one in the US with the new 7"?

They suck! Don't do that! You will get a much better sound if you link the phono leads into the laptop and then use something to record a live steam as it plays through the laptop.

Hmm, I never knew you can do that. Now I may actually try to do that. I have a mac, and those USB convertors generally only work with Windows, but if there's another way I can copy my records I need to try. Thanks.

Seeing as the songs are available through iTunes, you probably shouldn't distribute the mp3s.

It is clearly illegal.

Does anyone know if there is a way to buy Somebody to Love online in the US? I cannot find it anywhere on iTunes or on Amazon. Of course, it is available for download through Amazon's UK site but I run into geographical restrictions when I try to buy the mp3 single. Alternatively, is there any reasonably easy way to get around Amazon's region restrictions (I apologize if that's not a proper topic for discussion on this board)?
