Apologies, I Have None New Album

Post by BigEgg » Wed Feb 22, 2012 4:32 pm

Yeah so AIHN have just released the pre-order for their debut album, as well as a brilliant video for their new single starring Sam Russo. I have just ordered it and I reckon a lot of the people on this forum would enjoy it too.

The video is up to view here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGY1m-pnHtM

Not a single other comment? Shame! Apologies are great and I'm really looking forward to hearing the new album. Such a good band!

There's another video of a track from the album up on youtube: 60 Miles - http://youtu.be/P_8ia5N9s5M

Great band. One of the best UK punk bands around at the moment. Also pre-ordered the vinyl - I expect this album to be one of the best this year.

They are supporting Touche Amore at end of March too.

I was in Bristol last week, and just by luck Apologies were playing just around the corner from my hotel (along with Crazy Arm, and my current favourite band Great Cynics). It was an amazing gig, Apologies have came a long way since being a wee acoustic duo act. The new stuff from the album is great too.

(Although, I wonder if by me recommending them, Evan is less likely to like them?)

What an utterly ridiculous thing to say. Is there reason to think that your opinion on a band means so little to me, having been that I booked you to play my own show on several occasions?

No! No! No! I meant it as in my track record of bands I like and bands you find boring or crap! (Gaslight Anthem, Fake Problems etc!). Nothing else!

What do people think of this now? Had it on repeat since Saturday – I think it’s stunning. Every song is fantastic.

I am listening to it now. They're alright. It's a certain sound, for sure. I am reserving judgement until I see them next week, but my jury is definitely out at the moment.

I can't quite put my finger on who they remind me of. Maybe like a less poppy/lame Hundred Reasons...maybe

Is anyone here familiar with Smokey Bastard?

The song title in the link is a tribute to Apologies...

My old drummer Johnny loves Smokey Bastard and wouldn't shut up about them for ages. That song you linked to is pretty good. I didn't really 'get them' though.

I'm loving the apologies album. Really well paced. Great production. Evan, what did you think of them at the Touche Amore gig? I'd have gone, but was rehearsing that night.
