Don't let that go out in the actual release, though.

i think John proofread it himself, so i'd imagine he spotted it.

Got this yesterday – sounding excellent so far. Only a few new tracks though.

haha I have not read a single article of this album that has not brought up "small town Canada" to some degree. This is pretty much all I have been listening to lately.

Frank have you heard Mr. Craig Finn's new album? I've listened to the stream a couple of times and while I think it is lyrically up to par with the hold steady (other than seperation sunday) I really miss that huge rock and roll sound though.

Obviously, I am not Frank but I think it’s a great album. Some of the best songs he’s written. Went to see him play at Rough Trade East last week.

John K. Samson is an amazing songwriter, and Provincial is such a testament to that. If anyone is interested, you can check him out on Exclaim! TV performing 'Letters in Icelandic from the Ninette San'.

MMMmmmmmmmm

I like this - thanks for posting the stream and the video link..... now where on earth do I find the money to buy it??

Craig Finn is coming here to tour his solo thing - I like the clips I have heard but have no money (due to not having a job at the moment) to go to the gig. If I find some down the back of the sofa do I

A) buy the John K Samson album
B) buy the Craig Finn one or
C) go see Craig live?????

choices..
1084 Kilkenny, 1088 Dublin, 1139 Newport, 1255 Frome, 1301 Southampton, 1303 Bath, 1307 Cork, 1308 Galway, 1310 Dublin, 1324 Dublin. Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton, 2000 Trees Cave, 2000 Trees Main Stage...many...lots
