the black keys - el camino
admiral fallow - boots met my face
the decemberists - the king is dead
the kills - blood pressures
seasick steve - you can't teach an old dog new tricks
I'm surprised that this is the first time I've seen seasick steve mentioned on here, so well done for that. Before I got into FT I was mad on that guy. As I am of advanced years I remember the "original" punk scene and I've always thought it strange when bands like Green Day/Blink 182 (as much as I love them) were referred to as "punk". Seasick Steve playing live with just a drummer and a didleybo is the punkest thing I've seen in 30+ years. So. it's not just eyeliner and soapy hair. Maybe one for another thread...

I've been smitten by Kurt Vile's record lately and Benjamin Francis Leftwich has a special place in my heart right now.

I suspect I'm gonna love El Camino when I get it.
I also really liked 'Panic of Girls' by Blondie

Bossman
I can no Confirm that 'El Camino' by The Black Keys would've made my Top 5 (although I'm not sure at the expense of which, probably the Decemberists)

2 other great albums 2 come to my attention since Xmas are:

'The Spade' by Butch Walker & The Black Widows (great LOUD in the car...lol)
'Here We Rest' by Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit

Bossman
Amy worked in a bar in Exeter, Springsteen came clear in my headphones - Frank, did you write these lyrics for me?

I wasn't really impressed with El Camino. Maybe I need to give it another chance, but I'm getting to the stage now where if an album doesn't really really grab me on first listen then I'm not interested.
