Exactly, so it doesn't count! But hearing/seeing him launch into Animal Nitrate would be rather nice.

McAlmont and Butler and his production aside, I haven't really liked anything he has done since Suede.

I love the Stone Roses and always hoped they'd never get back together really. Still, they have and i'm pleased for them as they look really happy about it. I'd love to hear new material from them too, but do I want to go to one of the shows? God no, thousands of 'refugee Oasis' fans, beered up and waving 'smartphones' about so they can bore everyone about how they were there to anyone who'll listen...no thanks.

the mcalmont and butler album is great - i listened to it a few weeks back.

some of the solo tracks are ok, stay and you light the fire in particular.

Both of the McAlmont and Butler albums are brilliant. In Yes and You Do, The Sound of... had two of the best singles of the 90's, but the album sounded like the compilation of the two singles/their Bs that it really was. Bring It Back sounded more like an album, but didn't quite hit the same heights of said singles, although Falling is lovely.

I really don't get why David McAlmont isn't a household name, I can think of few finer voices in the country.

Back on topic, I didn't get Stone Roses tickets :( Hopefully the world tour will hit somewhere I can get to relatively easily like Paris or Dublin.

Me and the wife are going to the 2nd Heaton Park show. I think its the most expensive gig ticket I've ever bought, festivals aside. I'm not sure it will be worth it, but I missed out the first time and might not get another chance. Is glastonbury on in 2012? If so I think we can make a good guess who one of the headliners will be.

that is so well done ...

i have been thinking of doing a blind date one with frank in for years purely because of

cilla - ' whats your name and where to you come from '

frank - ' my names frank turner and i'm from winchester '

i had loads of frank clips all poised that would work but could never find enough old blind date footage ... alas ..
