vanbrugh. i knew some people in derwent though. which block?

i also did a politics degree, brilliant department with some absolutely tremendous staff. i was very close to staying on and doing a Ph.D there.

Just like to throw it out there that I'm still a member of Vanbrugh at the moment... I say 'member', but the college I'm in hasn't crossed my mind since I moved out of halls to be honest.

i wasn't exactly a JCR madman either, played a bit of college cricket though. often wondered what the university 'feels' like now that Hes East is going, i left in 2009 before it opened.

I did a placement year last year, so I couldn't really tell you either. I'll probably spend 95% of my time at hes east this year too so.. still won't really know.

Any of you Nottingham-ers know a source for jobs in the city? I've hit a bit brick wall on it and am pulling my hair out slightly, worried all the jobs will be taken when I get there...

Good to hear nice things about the department. I only went for Derwent cos I know someone there already who recommended it.
