Sailor's Boots

Post by Jodyism » Mon Aug 15, 2011 7:00 am

Thank you to Stereomag.net:D Clicky Here!

From DyingScene.com
On August 29th British singer/songwriter Frank Turner will be releasing “If Ever I Stray” as the next single from his new album “England Keep My Bones.” Normally I don’t consider releases of singles as news but this one will contain a brand new track as a b-side, which is cool for you die hard Turner fans. The song is called “Sailor’s Boots” but apparently it used to be called “Rod Stewart.”

Anyone else anxiously awaiting this? ...Any hope for it to be played during the current tour?
Thoughts are the shadows of our feelings -- always darker, emptier and simpler.

Aww, I liked Rod Stewart :(

Why was it even called that in the first place?

Love it, though I think I'll always think of it as "Rod Stewart", too--though I understand why he gave it a "real" title.

It's part of my personal "holy trinity" of lesser-known FT travel songs (the other two being "Sea Legs" and "Wanderlust") that I really hope he plays at least one of when he's here again in November.

For the record, though, I of course also love "The Road" and will probably have part of the lyrics incorporated in my next tattoo... fortunately, he's played that every time I've seen him so far.
Brevity is not my forte.

Just about every song on the new album mentions water somewhere in it.
