Before Frank covered them or toured with them, I had never listened to Mark Kozelek, Counting Crows, The Lemonheads, Propagandhi, Jamie T, Crazy Arm, Dive Dive, Beans on Toast and Chris T-T. I'm pretty much obsessed with Mark Kozelek these days, so cheers for that one. I seem to remember people on this board being responsible for me making a lot of worthwhile music purchases a few years ago, but I can't really remember what any of them were.

Looks like Ben Marwood owes you a pint, Frank!

I'd say that Frank got me onto more stuff when in MD. Such as: Reuben, Dive Dive, Fighting With Wire etc.
But if it wasn't for Frank, I most definately wouldn't have gotten into: Ben Marwood, Jonah, Chris T-T etc.

Would never have known who Townes Van Zandt was if I hadn't started listening to Frank. :) Also Loudon Wainwright and The Hold Steady.

Million Dead, that's it really. I got into Frank through Reuben, although it seems it was the other way round for most other people here.

Can't say anything that hasn't already been said on this thread, but like Frank mentioned on here earlier, it's always cool finding good music from like-minded individuals on a community like this (fuck off, it is). I feel I've become a lot more confident since discovering Frank's solo stuff in 2007.

Getting more confident in my playing ability as well, playing some fucking brilliant gigs people on here like Adams Boucher and Bennett, Oxygen Thief and Ben Marwood, with gigs coming up later in the year with Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun, Neil Morris, Dave Hughes and Ciaran Lenehan.

Cringe-worthy moment over.

Cheers Frank.
