It's not the Poppies. It's Graham, Mary Byker and three other dudes. They have a new album in October with this line-up too. I am not sure how I feel about it. Am waiting to see footage from Beautiful Days before committing to a ticket for their tour in October.
That's disappointing. I shall report back as soon as possible after the festival, although I never saw them the first time round so I have no basis for comparison. At least Carter should be the same - I think its just Jim Bob and Fruitbat again now.

Carter - yes.

PWEI - dodgy. They seem to have the support of ex member Richard March and all, but to my mind it is slightly pissing on their legacy as they are one of my favourite bands ever. I saw them 20 something times, so I am not sure if I want to see this

I just bought a V ticket for £130. I'm planning on not remembering any of the bands, I think that's the best way...

Based on what I know of the line up, this will definitely be the best course of action.

Well...as I said I have no basis for comparison but I thought PWEI sounded really good musically - the drummer especially stood out. As for Crabb and Byker...I thought they came across a bit...Fred Durst, if that makes sense. Lots of posturing and swaggering and shouting. Also, no Def Con One or Beaver Patrol. I think it will be better in a smaller venue.

I didn't realise Mary was in Apollo 440 for a while.. A little research reveals that he must have been in 1999, which is when I saw them at Reading. They were good.
