We listened to songbirds and rush hour cars

The first 5 times i listened to Nights Become Days, I thought it said "rashed our cars" thinking that this was some Brit expression I wasn't aware of. Then I just realized I was an idiot.

I discovered yesterday that Try This at Home goes "Let's hammer out a sound." I've been singing "Let's have a round of sound" for over two years.

I thought it was lets have a round of sound too. Saying that, it makes more sense than the invisible llama I never questioned until I read the actual lyrics.

Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings
About fire in our bellies and perverted little feelings

I first thought it was: "So we'll burn like a bacon and then we'll be gone". That would have been funny though... 8D

There is nothing funny about burning bacon. It's a criminal waste.

My daughter heard me on the phone talking about a trip to Ireland for work. She said later "are you going to see Frank?", I assumed she was asking because the only time I ever go anywhere is to see a Frank show. I said no, its work. Then she said, "maybe you can go and see him anyway". And I said, he's not playing there he's in America. And she said "but Ireland is his home isn't it ?". The fact that she had listened to the words prompted me to remove certain songs from The First 3 Years from her ipod... she's only 11 but showing signs of great taste.

I've had the lyrics to Wessex Boy down for quite some time, but today for some reason I heard "There's something about hotels you never can escape.

first time I heard Wessex Boy, I also thought it was Hotels ;-)

found an interview Frank did for mainstage music - it's in german so ran it through a translator and it came with this .....

"On Love, Irish & song it was “Let's begin RK the beginning” and now on Poetry OF the Deed is it “I brought myself bakes from the devil “. And that is exactly the new idea behind it."

lol

can't get those out of my head now!

In 'Peggy Sang The Blues' I always hear:

"Banntynes are coming. Bannatynes Ahead."

A scary thought indeed. I don't even watch Dragon's Den.

my favorite was:

"invisible llama" from Reasons

I had thought this was what he actually said for the longest time ( and thats how it was on song meanings.net too), and while it did seem strange I always assumed you guys across the pond had blankets or clothes made out of imitation llama fur or something and that's what he was talking about. If I ever find a llama blanket I am definitely sending it to Frank
