In other news, Frank debuted yet another new song called "Good and Gone" recently (he's a fucking machine). Fortunately, the video has no drums or bass to drown out his voice, so it's a simple enough matter to transcribe this one:
Good and Gone

I have searched for you
In the darkness of a dozen dingy dance halls
In countless queues in cafes in the suburbs
In the bed clothes of a thousand stranger's bedrooms

And I have yearned for you
In the airless hubs of international airports
In the hollow hell of many hundred hotels
In the solitary stillness of the early hours

I still do

Sometimes the things you need
Are right back where you started from

So fuck you Hollywood
For raising us on dreams of happy endings
In postcards of the prom kings and the prom queens
For teaching us that love was free and easy

Fuck you Mötley Crüe
For telling tales that skimp on all the dark sides
For teasing us with access and with excess
For bringing out the lowest drive in everyone
Oh fuck you

Sometimes the things you need
Are right back where you started from
Sometimes the things you need
They hang around a little while
Good and gone

If I could just have a second try
To take the second call you made that night
To find myself an airport and a credit card
Find a flight or something
To head back to the start

Sometimes the things I need
Are right back where I started from
Sometimes the things I need
They hang around a little while
Good and gone

They're good and gone

Thanks so much for posting this; I'll keep an eye out for it on YouTube.

Best lines ever:

OK, I think I've got it:
Man, we used to be brothers
Superheroes and warriors
Cowboys and Indians, train drivers
Everything rolling through the endless summers

But everything changes
You got married had children
And I don't have your number
The one I can remember is that place you used to live with your parents

But in the stillness of the moment it takes for a Polaroid picture
To capture our faces forever and
The world _____ and turns on its axis
And the only thing certain is
That everything changes

And they closed the Astoria
At the end of last summer
The place we earned our pedigrees
Scene of our victories
Sanctuary in the centre of London

Now they're building a railway
To track the _____ to Versailles
And singalongs on on
But they're singing different songs
In rooms that we don't know on the other side of the city

But in the stillness of the moment it takes for a Polaroid picture
To capture our faces forever and
The world _____ and turns on its axis
And the only thing certain is
That everything changes

So honey I just need a little time
To take a little time today
To save all the triumphs and tragedies
Before they slip away
Before they slip away

Let go of the little distractions
Hold close to the ones that you love
Because we won't all be here this time next year
So while you can take a picture of us

Let go of the little distractions
Hold close to the ones that you love
Because we won't all be here this time next year
So while you can take a picture of us

Take a Polaroid picture
(Let go of the little distractions)
(Hold close to the ones that you love)

Take a picture of us to show
We all want you to see where time goes

So in the stillness of the moment
Make sure you take a Polaroid picture
And keep it with you forever to
Remind yourself that everything changes
But there was this one time
Man there was this one time
When things were okay...
Could use a little bit of formatting but that's most of it. Just those two lines stump me.

Either way: progress!
You're a champ...I'm fairly sure the missing word before "Versailles" is "vanquished." Still can't figure out the other one, though.

I think the word before Versailles could be banquets - sounds more like that than vanquished?

"Banquets" probably makes more sense in light of Versailles, actually.

Sorry my last post went up twice; not sure how I fucked that up!

Think it's
So honey I just need a little time
To take a little time today
To savour all the triumphs and tragedies
Before they slip away
Before they slip away

And agree with "track the vanquished to Versailles"

But that first line is killing me

Yeah, I'm almost 100% sure it's 'Vanquished' now. You can hear it really clear in this video.

Still can't figure that first blank though. My best guess would be "The world is there, it turns on it's on axis", but I don't think that's right. Guess we'll have to wait for either an solo live version or an album version.
