Anyone looking to pre-order any upcoming games I suggest doing it at www.thehut.com before 9pm tomorrow (Thursday) and using voucher code blue10 for a 10% discount. I had the special edition of FFXIII on order at HMV as I get 10% off there, but thehut had it at £5 cheaper than HMV, and then I got 10% off that making it £49.26, I also ordered Dead Rising 2 for £24.96(!)

For Playsation player's their Heavy Rain and God of War pre-order prices are £37.73, so £33.96 after discount. As is Bioshock 2 std edition, while the collector's one with the vinyl would be £62.76 (both all formats)

Lost a hell of a lot of sleep and gained a very sore back while playing it.

Worth it though.

Compelling story, Gameplay tweaked for the better, Memorable charecters.

Seems like the missions are forced upon you, i.e GET YOUR COMPANIONS, GET THEIR LOYALTY, KILL THE BADDIES. doesn't have the same freedom as in Mass effect 1.

Still

If you can get over that, It's a highly enjoyable game.

I went into town to get Bioshock 2 the day it came out, having pre-ordered it.

I completely glazed over the fact that it's 18-rated.

I'm 18 in 2 weeks.

Damn it.

Its a game where you have to move the red box without touching the walls or the blue squares.

Sadly addictive. I've managed 13 seconds.

My mate has and he says its one of the best games he's ever played. Apparently he lost sleep over killing someone - a game that actually messes with your morals/head.. impressive!

Meanwhile, I am much loving FFXIII :D

I'm 19hrs in and am fucking LOVING it, the battle system is genius. Storyline is a tad ridiculous though.

I'd get Heavy Rain if I had a PS3, alas I'm restricted to my girlfriend's Xbox360. According to my only friend with a PS3 it's pretty fucking good for a game that's entirely quicktime events the whole way through.

Agreed, took a while for me to get used to it, but the paradigm shift thing really does work, its surprisingly fast-paced battles.

FF plots are supposed to be ridiculous, so thats not an issue for me, but the only negative for me so far is how linear it plays, especially the levelling. Bring back the FFX strategic sphere grid!
