Post by ravi » Wed Jun 03, 2009 11:41 pm

inspired by Pete's comment in another thread

So, who was it? where? when? support?
For me it was

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hyde Park
June 2004
supported by the Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown

Ian Brown,
53 Degrees Preston

Supported by The Shoks. Not very good, but the drummer was a world champion boxer.

I was there.

My first gig was RX Bandits, at the Phoenix in Plymouth, Sept 2001. It was amazing.

If we're including festivals then Reading 97. Watched the start of Period Pains, was appalled, went to Vans Warped stage, bussled to the front, Incubus were first band on and still fucking good at that time, Brandon Boyd came on with a didgeredoo, everything went fucking nuts, amazing
