Yeah, I missed one episode but on the others there was definitely nothing Trowbridgey.

But yeah, just operates as a good excuse to watch trashy telly.

It's great! me and my parents haven't stopped watching ER or Six Feet Under.

I've also been really enjoying the new season of House, if anyone watches that on here.

Pete and Mikazaru you are both from Trowbridge/Westbury? Me too - small world
They got married in St Johns in Trow and then had the reception at White Horse Country Park I believe

Yep, from Trowbridge. In fact that's where I was this weekend. Drinking in the old wetherspoons which is now dead on a Friday night with a spattering of middle aged men making up the numbers. Rock and Roll!

How old are you? I'd imagine we have mutual acquiantances(sp?)

Well I gave up watching the only thing I was watching on Sky Atlantic which was Boardwalk Empire as it was too slow burning for me.

Haha - good old spoons, I spent many a Friday night there, drinking the god awful cocktails before heading to The Pig

I'm 25 and an ex Clarendon pupil. Sure that there will be people we both know - everyone knows everyone!

Yep, I'd have been 3 years above you and JOG but sure there would have been. Sitting here and listing them would be a bit of a weird and tedious exercise though. Safe to say, judging by your username, we've both done the right thing and fucked off out of dodge and into London

Hell yes!
Good to go back every now and again though - if nothing else to remind you why you left

Aww, I used to love the Pig. :D I miss being able to get a Jack and Coke for £1.50 and some cheap chips from Stavs on the way home.

Did you guys see the story about the stolen kebab on BBC? Evan forwarded to me, genius.

I miss the Pig a lot, was saying that when I was back this weekend. Now they've demolished the civic hall we don't even get a christmas one. Might have to have a word with someone and see whether there's anything planned this year as it improves the Xmas break at home no end.

Stolen kebab?! Nope, never heard that one.

When did the Pig close down completely? Going out in Trowbridge and ending up in the Courthouse isn’t as much fun as the Pig, it reminds why I’m glad I don’t live there anymore.

Pig stopped operating yonks back, just after I finished uni I think (about 5 years ago). They had 3 years of Xmas specials but last year that stopped as they were held at the civic hall and that's now been knocked down, much like the rest of trowbridge. Even more irritatingly the Pig's old home, which they were evicted from so it could be redeveloped, remains unoccupied and in disrepair to this day. Makes me really fucking sad actually, such a shame.

Ha, that's brilliant, the last paragraph is fantastic.

Was the old building turned into a gym for a while? And that's when they moved round to that odd club next to Blockbuster. This has inspired me to look through the photos on the Facebook memorial page though. Everyone looks so young!

Yeah, there's a fair few of me in there!

Didn't know it was, no. The odd building was actually Route 66 years before, Pee Wees ran it and it was the first metal night our lot used to go to on a Wednesday (talking 15 years ago now!)
