Has anyone else been watching Wonders Of The Solar System? I must say I'm loving it.

It is fantastic to watch, but it is always amusing to see the production travel to a huge number of amazing places on the planet for the purposes of a 60 second piece to camera that didn't really need the on location shot at all.

That and how they use massively complex graphics to illustrate the wonders of the universe, except when Prof. Cox decides he'll do it himself with random everyday objects on a coffee table instead.

But yeah, still great.

I can't get past that smug cunt and his D:Ream fucking face.

Pineapple Dance Studio, best thing i've seen on TV in years.

I've been watching a lot of "Chuck". I think I fancy him a wee bit, is that weird?! pretty terrible programme, but fun to watch anyway.

Conversation has been over for a few months, but fuck it...

Favourite shows;

UK:
Charlie Brooker's "Wipe" shows are the pinnacle of broadcasting
Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes
Jools
Teachers (before it went shit)
Auf Wiedersehen, Pet
Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
Alan Partridge
Waking the Dead
Cracker
Have I Got News For You?
Nevermind the Buzzcocks
Top Gear
Harry Hill's TV Burp
X Factor (though I only really watch it to mock...the TV tends to be covered in beer and crisps by the end because I keep swearing at the TV throughout, but I find it strangely exhilarating to just yell at the TV for its duration, good for letting out the excess anger)

Usually like watching BBC documentaries and their festival coverage too

US:
The Simpsons
The Wire
The Sopranos
The Corner
Other things beginning with "The..."
Curb Your Enthusiasm (Larry David is the greatest human being who ever lived)
Dexter
True Blood
Generation Kill
In Treatment
Fresh Prince of Bel Air (nostalgia mainly)
Frasier
Friends
24 (right wing propaganda, I know, but its fun all the same)
Just started watching "Entourage"

and, being a bloke I get some stick for this but...
Desperate Housewives

...initially, I thought it was porn, but found it to be surprisingly enjoyable despite the absence of the breasts I was expecting to see, I like things that don't take themselves entirely seriously, and it definitely doesn't...though the bad guy in the last season was John Barrowman...you'd be watching someone running away, then there would be a close up of the guy they were running away from and it would be John Barrowman, and you'd go; "actually, fuck it, take your time...what's he gonna do? Threaten to sing the entire score from the Wizard of Oz?".

To balance the equation, here's the worst shows I've sat through;

You've Been Framed
Soaps (Bunch of whiney cunts dealing with their 32nd Teenage pregnancy)
Hollyoaks (a soap, but shit enough to deserve a standalone mention)
Casualty/Holby City
The One Show ("you know that tedious subject you have absolutely no interest in? Well...here's a 10-minute feature on it")
Jeremy FUCKING Kyle (Awful chavs face judgemental audience and host who is worse human being than Stalin...its a no-win situation for the viewer with a brain)
Reality shows in general
Anything with the word "Celebrity" acting as a prefix
MTV shows that have a surprising amount of camera angles for something thats supposedly off the cuff
Live from fucking Studio fucking Five
T4
Anything featuring Fearne Cotton
I probably hate you

Loving the new series of Don't Tell The Bride, as well as Dating in the Dark with their 'celebrity' cameos. I fucking love shit tv.

After the BBC showed the appallingly named 'Eiger : wall of death' I got a frenzied phone call off the mother saying that i should cancel my trip in a fortnight. Nice one BBC, you nearly made my mum cry. Cunts.

Four weddings on living tv. I'm sure there are other things to watch, but I've not bothered finding out...

Yep, watch this too. Living in general, utter shit but very enjoyable, especially when not wanting to engage brain with thought processes. If you've not watched Don't Tell The Bride, do so, fucking funny.

Yes! Especially if you watch it just before you go to bed cos you don't have to think and therefore your brain starts going to sleep.

I love X Factor, every year I tell myself I only watch it for the auditions but somehow end up watching it til the end. As soon as the contestants are off the show I can't stand them though.

Sunday night telly on More4 is great. Father Ted, Black Books, IT Crowd and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The whole channel is like being stuck in a particularly tedious traffic jam, gradually getting closer and closer to the cause of the jam and finding its a really bad accident where someone's arm got tossed to the other side of the road, someone else's leg has been twisted the wrong way, someone else has blood shooting out of their mouth like a fountain and the last guy no longer has testicles...and as you reach the scene, you tell yourself you're not gonna look, you won't...you REFUSE to...but, alas...its so compelling in a completely horrific way that you just can't help yourself. That pretty much sums up Living for me. Even their American imports are the shit ones that no-one else wants. "Ghost Whisperer"? What the fuck is that shit? When I inevitably come to power and establish my reich, things that are shit without even having the common decency to at least be bad in a funny way will be BANNED.

I went on about that for longer than I anticipated...maybe I secretly like it...

HA! YES.

I'd actually been saying the phrase "when I inevitabley come to power" for years (since school, actually), but when I heard Charlie say the "establish my reich" bit I thought "what better way to sound like an overlord of all human life?" and started adding it as a sort of cheeky suffix to the original phrase.

Anyone catch the final of Must be the Music? Have to say the girl who won was, in my opinion at least, really fucking good.
