I am off to work in Edinburgh in a couple of weeks. I have the evening of October 7th to myself, so was wondering if anyone could reccommend something to do please?

Before anyone says "pub crawl" or similar, I need to get up early and work fairly hard so that isn't really on the cards.

have fun - you really do deserve it. Just don't 'find yourself' and grow dreadlocks. or catch any funny diseases.
i'm fairly confident that i won't grow dreadlocks, for there is nothing that screams 'thundercunt' as much as a white person with such a hair style. no promises re the latter.

Fucking ridiculous

The blonde kid singing is my best mate's nephew and the video was shot at the local beer festival on Saturday. In the time since, they've had to employ a secretary to take all the calls from the media.

I know you said no pub crawls. BUT... Get yourself down to the Black Bull, or the Black Rose on Rose Street. Both pretty 'bad ass' etc.

They've put up a little picture of Frank in our student bar from when he played our O2 Academy. It made me happy.

The Rose Street in Leith, or the Rose Street parallel to Princes Street? If the latter, then I might. Thanks

Yeah, I meant the Rose Street that is up the hill and parallel to Princes Street. Good bar.

so you rarely watch tv because you cant stand the majority of stuff on there but go on twitter and are force fed every single move by some nameless wannabe on stuff like x factor
argh

however as much as it is annoying it is also amusing to see the reactions by all who watch

Given that it was 7 years to the day that John Peel sadly passed away, I did a bit of a blog-ette about him here.

Once upon a time, people went to the effort to write FAQ's

Sadly no one ever bothers to read such things anymore.
