I went into Zavvi last week hoping to get some decent bargains - was particularly looking fr okami and no more heroes on the wii. found them both but had no prices so spoke to the cashier to find out that one was £35.99 and the other was £49.99 told them ever so politly to shove it as they had previously told me that both were in the closing down sale. anyhow the moral of this story is shop around as I found okami for £15 in HMV and no more heroes for £10 in currys . I didhowever get blackadder's scrooge for £2.80

ha ha, sweet deal. I thought you were getting some kind of month's grace or something equally enviable. Currently I work whenever I'm not at college and judging by my new budget I have £20 a month disposable. You know, being this poor for this long is starting to get old. Music is for suckers.
Happy Birthday, though.... take deep breaths. You're not old, you've only spent fifteen years of your life properly conscious, so you've still got more than that until you reach fifty. Think of all the fun...

or something.

I couldn't believe it when they told me. it's no wonder places are going under with prices like that. woolworths was similar when they announced the huge sale i thought i would get a few cheap dvds or games but everything was still cheaper elsewhere.

Okami - great choice. One of most aesthetically brilliant games I've ever played.
No More Heroes - not so much.

fo' real? i thought no more heroes looked awesome, it being from the same people as killer 7 and stuff. Lost Winds on WiiWare is pretty shweet, nice graphics and feel to it, although it only lasts about 3 hours (N). Recently got World of Goo and it is sublime, although i wish it was longer as well.

Right, I'm now finishing work and am off into town with the missus to raid Zavvi. Will report back later on any bargains/rip offs.

I nabbed True Lies for £2.50 and In The Night Garden playing cards for 30p.

However, the mount of absolute crap that place used to sell was ridiculous and really showed why it had gone under, a Bratz pink limo for something like £40? Who is going to buy that? Honestly. The last day in Woolworths was crazy, my mates dad picked up 3 disc Withnail And I for 50p (bastard), my mate got Lady Vengeance for the same price.

re: prices

apparently the zavvi in Cambridge are selling the Wire series 2 for £25, whereas I got it in fopp for £20. Seems that the whole "end of zavvi price orgy" thing is perhaps overrated.

Got Crash and Momento for £3 each in hmv though. safe

havn't got around to playing either as of yet, but will let you know what I thin once I've delved in. also got the new sonic game and zack and wiki. sonic unleashed is actually a pretty good game - ignore the slower werehog parts and you have a great old school sonic game but in 3D - fast and furious just how i want sonic to be. just started zack and wiki and so far so good

Well... it's 2 DVDs with the film's score on CD, so technically only 2 disc I guess, comes in a tin though. It was this one he bought.
