Neither do I - my flatmate made me watch it - but it was still pretty funny to watch.

"and I quite like listening to Frank Turner." ?
you're not going to get some university don thinking "fucking hell, Frank Turner? He's that chap who sings
and has a healthy interest in history...she's in for sure!
(i imagine).

I got a guy a job based on saying that, actually.
Well, I gave him a great recommendation to the boss, and covered his mistakes. Still worked though!

Are we talking about on a CV here? Do people really still do that?
My advice to all of you is this; employers don't give two shits about your personal statement, and you can actually damage your chances of getting a job if it's lame. They are completely unprofessional. The only thing that should be included is things relevant to your work experience. Reeling off a list of your your favourite bands/movies.books etc makes you look a bit like you have nothing to offer and are simply padding out your CV.
Ditch the personal statement, and never EVER include a photo.

they are talking about personal statements for UCAS (university admissions thing). you can't get into uni without writing one. depending on what type of uni you apply to, they either are largely about academic things, or about extra-curricular activities.
i didn't mention frank in mine.
