I had an IT teacher (not Computing, although he'd of been a better Computing teacher than the one we had) who was a complete push over and *obsessed* with roller coasters, if one wanted to not do anything all lesson just mention a roller coaster and he was off on one for aaaaages talking about it. Remember a few years ago there was that bunch of people who rode a roller coaster naked? He was offered a place through some roller coaster fan site he was a member of (yeah, apparently there are people who love roller coasters so much they make websites to announce it to anyone who will listen, and hopefully make some like minded friends through doing so).

He also taught Chemistry.

Aw, thank you!

But my English teachers in Poland would always find mistakes / tell me to improve something... and here it doesn't happen.
Very strange.

Could be that they are basing it on a set rules for English, while we have slang and various other rules for different regions, as well as we're pretty lazy :)

A few years ago (well... about 10 now I guess) me and my family were on holiday and befriended a German chap, whenever one of us sneezed he would say "God bless you", whereas most people would say just "bless you", he was told that his English teachers back home had always told him to add "god" to the front.

Did not know who Lindsay Noble was but thoughts with his family cos it sucks.

I've been at the bedside of my beloved PJ all day, he's losing the battle with the fucking cruel hateful evil disease that is cancer.

I feel so sodding helpless.
