I've recently started having proper driving lessons. I've been taken out a few times before by relatives, but they just make me panic.

On my first lesson with an instructor, he had me confident enough to drive on the main roads as opposed to driving around an industrial estate, being too scared to drive over 2nd gear.

I've got my driving test in August. Really hope I pass first time, though I probably won't. Spent more money than I'd like on lessons/insurance/test already.

I really need to book some driving lessons, I've had my provisional for nearly a year now. I just keep putting it off because there's no way I can afford to buy and run a car.

Managed to pass first time at the end of may and managed very good insurance for my age and a cheap car. But something I wasn't taught but please enlighten me on this. Is there some game in which people steal hub caps? Cos I lost 2 within 2 weeks!

When I was a child, I used to steal metal dusties from cars. Dark days.

I passed first time, with no minors, in Chelmsford, which is known to be one of the/the worst place to have your test.

Picked up my 106 yesterday and took it for a long drive out, getting used to pedals and gears aside I'm enjoying it so far.

You sure you're not clipping the curbs?

Aha I already suggested that as they were both on the left hand side... but before I passed I was always told off cos when there were no road markings I used to drive right in the middle of the road ...

So i've managed to score a job with a fucking decent company who are happy to sponsor me to stay in Australia. I'm also in the process of moving in with 'the missus'.

Life's pretty good.

Just Googled the phrase "21 year-old" to check where I should hyphenate it. Came up with a Frank Twitter post. I can't escape.

I completed Ironman on Sunday in a respectable but by no means record-breaking 15 hours. It was punishing and it felt like it was never going to end. I don't think I'll do it again.
