Why did you buy him the same t-shirt?!
I didn't know he had the same tshirt til yesterday when I saw him wearing it. I did check if he had that tshirt before I bought it but I couldn't see it.

Gonna attempt to exchange it after work tomorrow.

Anyway Evan appears to have got a new tshirt out of my shopping error so it can't be all bad.

Back at work and generally enthused about the year ahead, will be an exciting year. Also looking forward to seeing how long I can stay sober for. Aiming for a few months, would be happy with a few weeks.

All the best for 2011

Working on a bank holiday? Bit shit innit...

This year I aim to finally start doing some exercising, I'm not overweight, just incredibly unfit. Running up the stairs renders me a wheezing wreck - something I intend to address.

Blame the Americans... They moved the New Yr bank hol forward to 31/12 as opposed to backwards to today.

I turn 30 this year. It's just a number on an arbitrarily measured scale, innit.

It's going to be an excellent year, apart from all the awful bits that are bound to happen at some point. On average, though, I reckon it'll be an average year.

Whilst flicking through the radio channels on the tv last night, I was pleasently surprised to hear 'I Still Believe' on Q Radio. Thing is, they don't have dj's announcing the artist and song so anyone listening and thinking' wow, love this song, who is it?' would be screwed.

My positive mood has been well and truly ousted by the return of my colleagues. If I had one wish for 2011, it'd be to be working for myself by the end of it.

I'm sure there's another thread for this type of thing...oh well. Further proof, if it was needed, that despite the horror of his musical output, Josh Groban is a very funny guy:

My uncle has just been awarded a CBE, so it's now the remainder of my life's mission to get a KBE or GBE to better him*.

Aim high, and all that.

*Edit: I am not actually serious about this. This is the kind of thing Pete would say, not me.

You strike me as more of a DBE regardless.

I'm not sure accepting your insignia from the Queen in drag is really the done thing. Although the media would love you for the easy "queen meets Queen" headlines.
