i got my first "visa debit card" today.
only problem is that my pin number has been sent to my old house :S

isn't that just a debit card but with the name visa on it so you can use it in places that don't take switch? i'm with natwest and i don;t think thay do that sort of thing

i wouldn't trust myself with a credit card (plus i am too young) but i wanted to be able to buy things online.

what the hell are you talking about? not all debit cards are switch. in fact, switch is now becoming maestro.

visa and maestro are the most popular debit cards and i've yet to come across anywhere that doesn't accept either of those.

when i went to canada i couldn't use my maestro (i know that they are the same thing, the 'rathergood' penguins sang a song about it)
