currently listening to Sigur Ros - Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur
far too excited to see them on Thursday, actually quite getting in to the new album. Doesn't come close to anything else they've done, but it's still nice to listen to and sounds like it will be really good live.

both, not playing near me and everywhere else sold out, bad times. But have fun and think of metosh wrote:Ahh are you not going? They not playing near you, or did it sell out? I couldn't get to Last Shadow Puppets either
tickets for Sheffield sold out in like five minutes (which isn't surprising seen as it's Alex's hometown) then I was going to go to Wolverhampton until they sold out.
My mate got to go though and said they were amazing. Apparently Alex's dad came on stage haha!
I watched them on TV when they did electric proms and they were actually immense.
did you go?

i'll also be at sigur ros on thursday... listening to untitled 4 just now.
i've heard they won't be playing with amiina this time round, so i think it's maybe gonna be a more "stripped down" performance. i saw them at connect earlier this year and the stage was absolutely packed with people and instruments, so this should be interesting.
off to see dylan moran tomorrow night, looking forward to that too.

I saw them on electric proms and wasn't too impressed.. I never made it to the gig, but after seeing the television performance I'm not too bothered. I love that album, but it doesn't sound like they did a very good job of it live. Oh well, think I'm gonna go and see the Rascals as I'm sure they're touring in December.DanIrelle wrote:

Yeah, I take it 'amiina' is the backing band? I heard that they were doing the tour without the brass/wind etc sections. They haven't been closing with Untitled 8 anymore (I hear it's been replaced with Gobildeegook?) but since they're playing a slightly less extravagant show, hopefully they'll bring it back. It's the most sublime show closer ever and I'd love to see it at the Carling. Also hope Ny Batteri hasn't ben cut from the set.random_128 wrote:i'll also be at sigur ros on thursday... listening to untitled 4 just now.

i think amiina is the string quartet (who have an album and a couple of eps of their own - worth checking out) and the brass section is called the horny brasstards ("lol")... i think the tour just now is just sigur ros as a four-piece.tosh wrote:Yeah, I take it 'amiina' is the backing band? i'm trying very hard not to do my dissertation right now, so i went looking for setlists - they closed every night in japan last month with gobbledigook followed by untitled 8 - sweet.
