right now I'm listening to a bootleg of a Smashing Pumpkins gig that I went to at Manchester Apollo, in October 2000. It was on the last tour before they split and I was so happy that I got to see them before they quit, thinking I'd never get another chance. Then they 'reformed' and I saw them at Reading 2007, which was shit compared to this gig.

Considering it's an mp3 of a show from 11 years ago the quality isn't too bad.

Lots of City and Colour tunes. A bit ashamed to say that I've just discovered them/him. Better late that never I guess. I'm really liking what I'm hearing so far.

Unfortunately out of the country for the gigs later in the year, so I'll have to wait to see him live.

Giving the new Bon Iver album a go. Seems to have had mixed reviews.

I caught them at Reading and they were a bit disappointing. Great album though!

Sophie Madeline here. After hearing her on the Xtra Mile comp. I went and bought an album. Bloody beautiful brilliance.

Lumber Lung - recently released a brilliant album. It's a bit old emo-style with female vocals...one of the best things I've heard in a while.

The Into The Wild Sountrack, by Eddie Vedder, who is the Pearl Jam frontman. Some great songs on there.

The entire Down The Way album by Angus and Julia Stone. Brilliant record.
