Good band and good fun live; seen them a couple of times now and both times have been good.

Have heard the album is a bit of a letdown after such a wait and such good singles/EPs though..

I Am Azerrad is the other single to look out for.

I just have that, Feed Me A Box Of Words and various live recordings of them.

When I saw them at Notting Hill Arts Club, the singer started wearing a pig mask during Night Of The Pencils which was a little odd to say the least.

This is fucking good. Probably sounds like it should have been released many years ago, but still, I like it a lot.
In response to your suggestion in the other thread, I'm giving them a listen. Think I'd heard the name around before, just never listened. I like the music, but the programmed drums really really fucking annoy me, which is a shame as otherwise they've very much a band I'd listen to.

On the topic of programmed drums, I'm currently listening to Anatomy Of The Bear. Think pretty formulaic post rock but with singing. I like it, even though the programmed drums bug me...

Ravi, get the Tubelord album, you won't regret it. One of the best live bands in the country right now, 'imo'.

Saw them last night; it was the first time I'd even heard them. I was really enjoying it, but then just before the last song the singer made everyone in the audience sit down so he could read us a poem.

Fuck. Off.

joe is something of an oddball and it can sometimes seem a bit contrived, but done be put off by that - they really are quite fucking good.

Yeah like I said I was really enjoying the songs. I'll probably still pick up the album.

Incidentally, I've been watching a lot of "The Thick of It" lately and the swearing is just gushing out of me.
