Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Last time I did seats it was an emergency swap for standing for a gig that we would have queued for but then the daughter was ill, didn't want to queue all day and be too knackered to enjoy the gig. Got 3rd row, first block from the stage, the night before the gig for not much more than face, and th...

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

sounds... weird :? I'm off to see The Maine tomorrow night in Leeds, gig should have been at The Cockpit but it closed because of structural problems so it'll be my daughter's and my first time gigging at the new The Key Club, so that'll be interesting

I'm going to see The Maine next week, a gig that was going to be at The Cockpit before it got closed down... Book tickets for another gig. ASAP.

Re: Need insight here.....

I was totally ready to throw myself into it but found myself with a large plastic cup of lemonade so couldn't really do much bouncing or hand movements... I do think maybe there's a high expectation on support bands, especially with more expensive gig tickets. If it's up to £15 or so then I'm not so...

they're ace. The William the Conqueror one reminded me that I heard something on the radio about Harold not actually dying at Hastings? There's a bloke trying to prove that he lived for another 30 years and was buried in Essex: http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/news/11474023.King_Harold_search_postpo...

Re: Koo Koo

I had seen a lot of stuff -some good, some bad - written about them, so deliberately avoided You Tube videos etc, before I went on Saturday, though from what I'd read, I wasn't expecting to really 'get it'. I can see how they'd be a bit 'Marmite' but I gotta say, I loved them. A thought came to me ...

singing and accents

Was singing along to Eulogy last night, and the rest of EKMB, and usually I find myself drifting into the accent of the singer I'm listening to, or going 'choral' as I'm in a Gilbert and Sullivan society, but last night I went completely Yorkshire with it. I don't know why! I think the spirit of Eul...

I Am Disappeared, yeah, bawlorama, also I sometimes have a sentimental tear at Eva Mae, but that's what being a mawkish mum does
