Re: Packing for tour video

See, we ladies have "trash purse", but I hate saying it, as it sounds ridden with innuendo. Oh my gosh, yes! Half the fun is pulling the trash out of your bag thinking, "When did I put that in there?" :P And why? And wtf was it originally before it spent all this time in the bottom of my handbag. I...

Re: Politics / Current Affairs / Blog thread

I cannot see how more US intervention is going to help anything. It never has, it never does. It just gets young men killed for no reason. And it appears to be shaping up as a proxy war with Russia in any case. Rationally, this is what I think and yet my god, if you look at the pictures how can any ...

Re: The "Everything Is Shit" Thread

ffs can anyone let us know if Peter has got his haircut yet. it must be the only thing that any of us are interested in surely! Evan promised us a haircut, too. All talk, no action. I see how it is. And also everybody in my house is gone, which is good, but that means I have to do all the work, whi...

Re: The "Everything Is Shit" Thread

I missed Bruce Springsteen tickets. They sold out by 9:01am. And all this talk of haircuts reminds me I need one. Nooooo!!!! How much are you willing to spend? Because...StubHub! Do you have that there? It's amazing. I dunno, but tickets already run up to $300, so there's that. Welcome to fucking A...

Re: Irish Whiskey and Irish People....

Cahir is probably not going to be fulltime in the band, no. I like playing guitar. If it ever became necessity (hopefully it never will) would you make him permanent? I'm struggling to envisage this scenario. Perhaps if the Souls staged a revolt, recruited Cahir to their ranks, then Matt took over ...

Re: Packing for tour video

I laughed because I think Frank and my husband share a brain and a touch of OCD. My husband travels all over Asia/Japan for work and he's got a very similar system, including being able to stand up and tell what its got in it's pockets, precious. And he leaves his washbag everywhere, too. He's got a...

Re: The I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY Thread

I have seen just about everything, and am not easily impressed or amazed. However, I watched a documentary on "The Learning Channel". The subject of the story was a man with a 132 pound (60 kg.) scrotum. Instead of underwear, he wore a massive hoodie on his genitals. I stand corrected; I was impres...

Anyhow, enough of this mumsnet nonsense. My hair still needs cutting. Life blows. How is it you've not managed to find a barber yet? Thurs / Fri were taken up following Francis around, then Saturday - Monday at home, due to long weekend in UK - there are no barbers, or indeed anything at all, withi...

Re: Books?

I read Broken Homes (the fourth Rivers of London book by Ben Aaronovitch) last night when I was Not Sleeping.

So much awesome. It's an easy read series and one of the better examples of it's genre.
