Re: The Weakerthans

Left and leaving is my favourite. Exiles among you is the only song to ever make me cry (it was only one tear), the last two minutes of that song are amazing.

Re: The Road

I think the subject of deciding a setlist is an interesting one! Apart from deciding on the crowd pleasers/quieter songs/ new songs/ old songs balance, I think the musical blend is taken into consideration - for example, if the prior song is in one key, maybe the next song would be in a different k...

Re: Songs I've Heard Live

How do you all remember this? Or are you using a set list website. This is what I'll have to do, I'll never be able to remember what I've seen, especially as my mind erased the memory of seeing Polaroid Picture at the Forum gig. (Thank fuck that gig is on YouTube) I'm not sure I want to find out, t...

Looks like some were shot but never put together. I'm sure they could find somebody on here to do it for them.

Re: Tim Barry - Bristol, Sunday 23rd June

Saw him last night in Cardiff, truly amazing! One of the best live performances I've ever seen. The PA system gave up a few times, so he just got in to the middle of the crowd and played there. I strongly recommend anybody who's thinking of going to see him tonight or any of his remaining dates to go.

Re: Guardian Article

To be fair he was never going to like it, he only likes dance type music by the looks of it. Nothing wrong with that, each to their own. He's just being controversial for the sake of being it. Why bother? Why waste your own time? Like none of us should do reading the guardian!

Got there in the end. Arrived just before Jim Lockey started. Both were excellent, especially seeing that Ben had the shits!

Re: So it's come to this..................

To quote Biffy Clyro "Thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow", but seeing as your kids are only 4 & 6 you might have to put up with the inane drivel of one direction and the next lot after them for a while yet! You've just got to hope that when they get to the rock stage that they don't end up going bac...

Re: long live the Queen sheet music (piano)

Matt has started putting songs up on the sleeping souls website, but no long live the queen up yet. There is a q&a section on there so you could ask if he's working on it.
