Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Going to this rather wonderful event at The Boston Arms, Tufnell Park , London on Friday 30th November. To celebrate the re-launch of All The Madmen records all 5 acts currently on the label are playing. The Mob, Kill Pretty, Andy T, Hagar The Womb and The Astronauts. Should be a great night, especi...

Re: Good hip-hop

Plus one to the rip for Adam Yauch. I'd also agree with the michael franti suggestion. I was lucky enough to see dho hiphoprisy, brilliant. Also suggest Consolidated, probably not strictly hip hop but i.always lump them with hiphoprisy.

Re: Politics/Wembley

Nice reply Frank, thank you. I guess the difference is being able to be friends with someone who you think is wrong about something, and not being able to be friends with someone who is not only wrong, but offensive with it. As for the BNP being left wing/right wing (you can stuff the lot?), we'll h...

Re: Politics/Wembley

Interesting thread. I'd like to maybe play Devil's Advocate a bit here, if Billy's lyrics and political views had been the complete opposite, so he was an extreme right winger, supporting the likes of the BNP, would he have still been welcome?

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Just booked for The Offspring in Shepherds Bush next month. Hope they're better than last time when they seemed to be very false, and just going through the motions.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Going to see The Mob in May at Bradford 1in12, should be an excellent night. Might also go and see Anti-Flag next week if ther's still tickets after I've been paid.

Re: Lincoln show age restriction

This has now been changed to over 14s, so thanks to whoever has sorted it (Think it might have been Joanna).

Re: Lincoln

Just been on the Engine Shed site, and it looks like the age restriction has been lowered to 14+, don't know if this now makes it feasable to take your kids to Lincoln.

A long way from London I'm afraid, but I remember seeing a load of your flyers etc being handed out at The Mob gig in Brixton last year.

Re: Who were the first band you saw live?

First name band I went to see was Slade, Lincoln Theatre Royal in April 1978, supported by The Depressions. I was 10 (nearly 11), and my older brother took me despite him not liking Slade. They were awesome. I had to wait until December 1981 for my next proper gig, but what a gig! Christmas on Earth...

Re: Introduce Yourself

I'm Steve, an old punk rocker (44) who's just recently discovered FT through my daughter. Came down to Wembley which was my first time seeing Frank, and my daughter's first proper gig. Seen a lot of live music over the years, and have to say that this was one of the best I've been to.

Lincoln show age restriction

I'd love to bring my daughter to see you at Lincoln (we came down to Wembley, it was her first gig and she loved it), but it seems to be the only date on the tour where a 15 year old can't get in as it's an over 16s gig. I've noticed on the Engine Shed website that some other gigs are over 14s, is t...
