Re: Request for O2 Arena. Feb 12

Good question. Several reasons. He has made that song his own. It has featured in most sets over the years and on an album. I never listen to the original version,so for me his version is the only one I know. And lastly, i love the way it builds up and how the audience sing along (although this did...

Re: Request for O2 Arena. Feb 12

The only cover I find acceptable is Ben Marwood's 'The District Sleeps Alone Tonight.' Everything else by everyone else can bugger off. I'd be really annoyed if Frank Turner played 'Racing In The Street' rather than one of his own songs as a result of a message board request. I prefer the requests ...

Re: Get folked

It didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but then I have been interested in folk music old and new for years.

If the programme was called 'Get jazzed' or ' Get dubstepped' and adopted a similar 'one size fits all' approach, then I probably would have found it really useful and informative.

I used to have that Atari t-shirt. Bought it at Reading Festival in 2000 and wore it until it stretched to about 3 sizes too big for me.

I'm not sure if I'd hate or love the regimented style, but fair play to you for doing it.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

Saw Dave Hause and Northcote yesterday in Hamburg. It was fun. But I don't know why I always stand behind very talkaktive girls. Or beside lovesick girls. If I try to avoid the blabbermouth I'll end up with the 'I love the singer, isn't he a .... .' girl  The music was very good and they were...

The ataris - The last song I will ever write about a girl (or anything off end is forever or blue skies, broken hearts). Mr T Experience - Even Hitler had a girlfriend Jeffrey Lewis - broken, broken heart. Don't be upset. The Wave Pictures - Now you are pregnant (more about unrequited love really, but...

This sounds like the most boring idea for a song ever.

Besides, what would rhyme with environmental degradation?
