Re: Springsteen

By the way, I previously said Manchester may have been the best gig I ever went to. Scratch that, both nights at Paris were amazing & the second on the 5th was the best I went to this tour with an absolutely stunning beginning sequence. Here's my videos of the solo piano songs from 4th & 5th respect...

Re: Springsteen

I'm sure he'll be great. Most of the reasons Hyde Park wasn't as good as the others was down to the venue/people/weather, not Bruce who seems to be playing harder/as well as at any time since I first saw him in 99 on the reunion tour. It was still very, very good, just not up to at least 5 of the ot...

Re: Cheese & Grain

Be warned, it's a pretty small bar at the back of the hall, lol

Seen Southside Johnny & The Jukes there a couple of times.

Hope to make it provided the knee op goes ok.

Cheese & Grain

HI Frank, Will you be in a rush after the Cheese & Grain gig? I've been coming to your shows since first seeing you supporting Gaslight Anthem at Bristol & would love the chance to say Hi after a show if you're gonna be around. At the moment I'm only doing the Bath show, but Cheese & Grain isn't too...

Re: Springsteen

Hyde Park was the worst of the 7 Springsteen gigs I took in this year, maybe joint worst with Sunderland, blown out of the water by Manchester & both Paris gigs, one of which was the best gig I've ever seen by anybody! The sound was absolutely dreadful unless you were right up the front, imo, or at ...

Re: Covers

Any chance you can work up another Springsteen cover for Bath? lol

I know you care about some of the Nebraska tracks & would love to hear one of them.

Hoping to catch you after that gig & say Hi at last, maybe get one of your cd's signed.

& here's my own recording of 'Save My Love' from Manchester's Etihad Stadium on Friday, perhaps the greatest gig I've ever been to:

Re: New album demos .... your thoughts

All I'm saying is it's gonna be a TRAVESTY if there isn't an official release for 'Cowboy Chords'. That song is unbelievably good!

Re: Springsteen

In MIlan this week, Bruce played 33 songs over 3 hours & 38 minutes! The gig started on 7th June & finished on 8th with a 10 song encore - just listen to them CRAZY Itailians singing 'Born In The USA' It got me wondering, what is the longest show on record by Frank? (I know length isn't everything g...

Re: Music Idols

Hi Frank You told me before you'd not met Bruce yet, but may I ask if you've been to any of his shows as a fan and if so, what you thought afterwards? I ask because there's a certain similarity in the relationship I see between you & your fans 'in concert together' that I've only really seen otherwi...

Re: Frank headlines Beautiful Days 2012

Their response was pretty swift & brutal:

Hello

Really sorry we do not sell day tickets for the festival, we have not sold day tickets for many years now.

Best wishes

Beautiful Days Festival

Guess I'll have to hope you hit the South West later in the year then.........lol

Re: Frank headlines Beautiful Days 2012

Thanks Frank

I'll see if there's a contact tab on the site.

I'm a little more open to a 3 day ticket now anyway cos I understand 'Show of Hands' will play too, but it's an expensive year with following Bruce to New York & Paris amongst other things.....lol

Evan wrote:Pretty sure (like most festivals) they do weekend tickets first, then release day tickets later.
Cool, if you're right, I'll keep watching nearer the date.

Anyone else have previous experience of if that's the case with 'Beautiful Days'?
