Re: Olympics- Sailor's Boots

my main interest is whether it was a banjo or not ! banjitar maybe.. but I'm sure others would appreciate it if Evan can upload.

If it was a banjo I hope someone does a youtube on how to play it 5 string bluegrass style. I need another party piece and Beverley Hillbillies is getting a bit worn...

Olympics- Sailor's Boots

Anyone got a link to Sailors Boots from Friday ?

Giles Coren said this on twitter at the time: "some loonie's grabbed the microphone and started singing children's nursery rhymes with a banjo - G4s really should get their act together." At the time it didn't make sense but now it kinda does.

Re: Mongol Horde

Something's happening on Friday by the look of it.. according to mongol horde's twitter anyway. Probably @drumgiant being cryptic on the way to work ?

It's fucking typical, the decades second most anticipated event and I'm out of the country.

Re: Traditional folk album

Do you know yet if you are playing Cambridge FF this year ? if you ever do said folk project and as this year is the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking "It was a sad day when that great ship went down" would be excellent. I've been playing bass for 25+ years and I very recently found out that ...

Re: NME Awards 2012

FT and Laura Marling are the only serious candidates in the Best Solo Artist. Adele? give me a break... Serious question: WHO the fuck decides who to put in the categories ? 99% of all the nominees mean nothing to me, or my kids, and all of the people I know and have ever known so who are they cater...

Gold text on grainy green leather. Just like those old Reader's Digest hardbacks in ones library.

Or an Admiral's desk top:

Either way it doesn't fuck your eyes up like the white on black. Quality, well done.

Re: All new misheard song lyrics

My daughter heard me on the phone talking about a trip to Ireland for work. She said later "are you going to see Frank?", I assumed she was asking because the only time I ever go anywhere is to see a Frank show. I said no, its work. Then she said, "maybe you can go and see him anyway". And I said, h...

Re: BBC Introducing Masterclass 2012 - The Gig with Tom Robi

You've all seen footage of the screaming hysterical Beatles fans in the 60's right ? Up until very recently I wondered how the hell someone could get that emotional about something as simple as rock n roll. And those evangelist congregations in the US. As an antitheist I can't understand their emoti...

Xmas Playlist

Seeing as thought we are all apparently sharing at least some musical taste I thought I would ask for some suggestions for the awsomest xmas playlist ever. As there will be kids present when this is played nothing too explicit please, as I've learned my lesson on that score after catching my 8 year ...
