Definitely – I’ve missed them the last couple of times down here but they’re playing the Old Blue Last in mid-November with Calvinball and Apologies, I Have None ….will definitely be at that one, should be brilliant.

599. 7th March 2009 @ Pure Groove Records, London This was about the time I thought "fuck it" and just started going to gigs on my own. In hindsight, I wish I'd had that thought much earlier as I missed out on a good couple of years of gigs while in London. What a great day when you figure out that...

OWTH decent too...Samiam's set was hampered by diabolical sound for most of the set. Could barely hear the guitars or the singer. Just backing vocals, bass and drums and to...

Lumber Lung - recently released a brilliant album. It's a bit old emo-style with female vocals...one of the best things I've heard in a while.

Do you have a London place set up? Sorry if i missed this... where are you heading? Guessing near Crouch End... he is going to be about 1.5 miles from us, in a southerly direction. I'm within about 50m of where an awesome pub used to be, before it burned down. There's another pub there now with the...

Having missed them at Reading when they clashed with Frank’s main stage set I saw the Menzingers play a brilliant show the other night at the Social…bit of an odd venue though…probably only a handful of people who can actually see the bands…. Considering going to see the Arteries tomorrow at the Bos...

It pains to do this but I can’t go to the Weakerthans show tonight at the Garage in Islington and have 2 spare tickets – does anyone want them? I paid £35 face value for the pair but if anyone wants to make an offer please do. They’re an e-ticket so can email them across.

I've had confirmation on the phone (I was on hold for about 25 minutes in case anyone's thinking of giving them "a quick ring") that my tickets (I bought the cheaper ones) are definitely downstairs standing, and anyone else who bought them also definitely has downstairs standing. EDIT: Hammersmith....
