Re: FT signed Million Dead poster

Not going to take up the offer because I'm sure there are bigger MD fans than me, but this is a lovely thread :)

Re: Favorite Weakerthans album?

There was a good interview published a few months back in which Frank discusses his love for Reconstruction Site and how he originally loved Left and Leaving so much it took him a while to come around to RS. Worth seeking out.

Re: I am Disappeared

I see it as more positive. A song about dreaming of escape, and knowing that, "on the worst days," escape is always possible.

Re: PSFNP

Really enjoying the bonus acoustic disc. I prefer the acoustic version of Glorious You to the album version. On an unrelated note... Does anyone find the audience 'woos' in Song for Josh a little annoying? It's still an incredibly moving song, but I feel a little irked by that when I listen to it. I...

Quietly proud that Frank has included This Year on a couple of Spotify playlists.

Re: Vinyl mp3 download?

Screw it, I've bought the deluxe edition. Would be a shame to miss out on the acoustic tracks.

Looking forward to hearing Old Flames too.

Re: Vinyl mp3 download?

For those who got the vinyl with a download, did the download include the acoustic bonus tracks? (Still waiting for the label folk to send me the download and considering buying the bonus tracks to tide me over.)

Re: Rank The Albums

When you use the word "objectively", what do you mean by that, exactly? Because unless you're ranking them on a factual measure then I don't think it means what you think it means. he's right. objectively means without feeling and with music there is a lot of feeling. maybe subjective would work be...

Re: PSFNP

I really think Song for Josh is one of the best songs Frank has ever written. The rest of the album is good, but none of the other songs feel as important as that one.

Other early personal favourites are Get Better and Josephine.

Re: Rank The Albums

I'm not going to include PSFNP because it's too early to judge it objectively.

1) Love Ire & Song
2) England Keep My Bones
3) Poetry of the Deed
4) Sleep is for the Week
5) Tape Deck Heart

I personally prefer POTD and SIFTW to EKMB, but I feel EKMB deserves to be near the top, objectively.
