Re: Can we expect a move towards more million-dead-esque lyr

I was thinking about this yesterday actually with regards to the "heresy" thread. A lot of his earlier solo stuff is very straight forward "telling a story" type stuff, but still mostly pretty well written obviously. Now there's quite a few songs where everything does seem to be getting a bit more a...

I did however only get it from one of those internet lyric pages so who knows....

Well I guess we all know someone who does, if only this forum had a section where you could ask Frank stuff............
Or even a thread about misheard lyrics!

Can we delay the tickets by a few months? I haven't a clue where I'll be. Oh well.

I don't like the meal either. Now whether or not I can find another meal based artist or not is another matter, so he still could be my favourite.

Maybe Alexisonfire......

Re: Adele Cover

Kind of, but it's not just Frank's song, it's Million Dead's song. And when he moved from playing it just solo to playing it with a new band, it puts it firmly into cover territory, for me anyway.

Re: Required listening for Wembley

You'll be fine for Beans on Toast. Just turn up and enjoy, there's not huge amounts of singing along, and what there is you'll probably pick up fairly easily or he'll just tell everyone what to sing along. He's very entertaining though.

Re: Who is Frank in between...

From previous suggestions in this thread, I'm gonna guess Foo Fighters and Gogol Bordello. *checks*

Ach. Infact there's 5 bands between Frank and Gogol Bordello, first one being Friendly Fires, not that I listen to them, but there you go.

Re: Somebody to Love Cover

Have just heard the recorded version for the first time on Steve Lamacq's show on iPlayer. Great recording. Well done on not making it sound flat compared to the live rendition. I will be in India on Record Store Day so no chance to buy the physical record. I really hope there will be some other wa...

Good thinking, considering the football the next day it could be entirely possible he'll play Never Buy the Sun.

Which is free to download here http://www.billybragg.co.uk/sun.php

Most of that looks right to me. I think possibly "Packed up, sat in my Delorean".

Pretty sure the other line is "this here machine" though.

edit: changed my mind

Not having a beer in hand is enough reason to frown I think.
