Re: Portland to London

Harringay Green Lanes is the best place in London for Turkish food, tons of cheap and incredible restaurants, I'd definitely go here and eat. And then you're just down the road from Alexandra Palace which has pretty nice grounds and an incredible view of London, as it's on top of a hill and you can ...

Re: Something mildly disconcerting.

That's an old poster, produced in 2002 in the aftermath of 9/11. It was clearly completely misguide and I believe there was a bit of a furore about it at the time, they've got a copy of it displayed in the Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

Re: My First Frank Gig

Having checked the past gigs list, my first FT solo gig was on the Automatic tour apparently. From what I recall there weren't too many people there when Frank played but it was still brilliant, obviously. Which gig? I was at both the London ones. Cardiff, was living there as a student at the time....

The 100 Club show Evan mentioned was amazing, I'd forgotten how good that was. The Scala show was the one that, to me, first marked Frank out as something of a star.

I also have to say as well, that Frank's solo version of "Smiling at strangers" is so much better than the Million Dead Version. Incorrect. The only people I can really think of are Jacob Golden and Joshua English from the Softcore tour, as well as a few guys like Austin Lucas and Tim Barry that I ...

Don't know if anyone would be interested in this, but my girlfriend is working in Israel and the Palestinian territories at the moment, and is writing a blog.

Nah, that's why it's so brilliant!

I do know what you mean, for me there is enough to keep it interesting whilst still being amazing. I love it.

The new Funeral For a Friend album - Welcome Home Armageddon. I must say I'm very impressed with it, I really like the new sound they've been going with the last three albums. Contrary to popular opinion, I think the 3rd was the best, by a long shot, but this is a strong contender =]. I'm listening...
