Re: 2014 Gigs

I can't even remember. Saw Frank in Edinburgh, with Beans and Flogging Molly. Saw You Me At Six at Nottingham Arena, which was a fab venue for queueing, supported by Young Kato. Saw Frank again at Live at Leeds, where I also saw some guy called Sam something, Young Kato, Royal Blood, missed Eliza an...

Frank was at the side watching her before his gig at Live at Leeds last year. I think I preferred the very similar act that was on before her, Norma Jean Martine...

Haven't listened to Supermodel by Foster The People enough to rate it, ditto Walk The Moon's Talking Is Hard but then I've only had that one a week or so. Looking forwa...

Re: Polaroid Picture

And my eldest is back from uni, but spending half her time with her boyfriend so not here, and the next one is similarly on hol...

Re: Bricks - Venues closing down.

don't know why I missed this thread earlier this year, but I will definitely miss The Cockpit in Leeds, structural problems forced sudden closure back in August. The replacement venue is just not as good for seeing bands

Re: Non-Frank Gigs

love BoS, love that they're not all that chatty and just get on with playing. Saw them supporting Muse, and then at Leeds, have missed them touring since then because of timing... at Leeds they were supported by Broken Hands, want to see them again sometime too

Re: Pre Gig Set list

The 'no spoilers' thing is why I engineered myself to go to the first gigs of 2 of the last 3 Muse arena tours, even more of a thing with them as they have a lot of stage production as well as the setlist issue.

Went to our friends' son's first gig as The Dark Rasmurn Project on Thursday at The Parish in Huddersfield, really decent gig. I had massive bass envy cos the bassist had a really lovely 7 string, the posing bastard.

I bought 3 cds at a gig last Sunday, one by Nick Santino, one of his songs is called Jackson Browne! (The others were by Lydia and The Maine)

Re: Best Broke Band Member Jobs

A friend's son is currently working as a delivery driver for a wholesale flower company while he keeps ticking over with music stuff with his dad's band HD7, their electro-acoustic duo Acoustimosh and his new prog project The Dark Rasmurn Project. Yes this is a shameless plug for them all, lol, just...
