Thanks man; I'm gonna go for it, and pray for clear skies and fast taxis. If I'm delayed, perhaps you could fall off the stage, break your leg, and move everything back an hour or so?

Stage times for Milan gig next week?

Yo Frank! Do you - or of course anyone else here - know the stage times for Milan next week? I can fly to Malpensa airport - about an hour away - by 20:05 The site claims "Inizio spettacoli" at 21:00, but is that the support or your bad-selves? Actually, fuck it, it's near enough: I won't miss all o...

Re: Standon Caling

I thought Standon was utterly chaotic, but - when we go in - huge fun. And it's the 9th time I've seen Frank perform, and definitely the best. So much energy! (Helped that the venue was small enough that I got to front 'n' centre on the rail and helped Frank out with the crowd surfing!) And Beans on...

Re: When Did We Get So Fucking Old?

You want fucking old? I'll give you fucking old. About 5 years ago, my youngest daughter decided she wanted to go to some gigs, and maybe a festival. Too young to go alone, so I went along, as driver and supervisor. Live Music grabbed me by the throat. I can't get enough. We went to Reading Festival...

Re: University

It's where I learned how pathetically totalitarian and ignorant some people on the left are. I notice that a lot of left wingers think that right wingers are evil and right wingers think left wingers are misguided (obviously not all of them). Left and Right are just places to stand on the continuum...

Yup, imma be there.

Although "In association with John Lewis .. hugely talented, renowned chefs showcasing their cooking skills.."? WTF?

I still wake up in a cold sweat recalling your last attempt at cookery on "Sunday Brunch", Frank. ;-)

Re: O2 Academy Brixton - aaarrrggghhh

Shame. I love most things about it :
- very accessible to "out of townies" via KingsX
- sloped floor: we can all see!
- handy toilets down front for that urgent post-support act piss
- lots of cold, cold beer outlets. Mmmm, beer without queuing.

Re: Reading

Woohoo!! Couldn't believe there'd be no FT at R&L.
Was in the mosh for this at Reading 2012. Looking forward to it 2 years later.

Re: Glastonbury

I for one am glad. I know full well it's for charidee, rather than eevil capitalism, but Glasto' still pisses me off with its preposterously unfair / arbitrary ticketing system (yes, I''ve never managed to get any!) and the fact that every other fucker there is on a corporate / media freebie ...

Re: Standon Calling

As I understand it, they'll only sell Day Tickets if they don't sell enough full-on weekend tickets. With Frank, Maximo Park and a yet-to-be-announced 3rd headliner - probably prince  - this is their highest profile year yet, so I'm thinking it's unlikely...

Re: O2 Academy Brixton - aaarrrggghhh

Perhaps my old ears aren't discerning enough - I saw FT / Green Day there last year, and also went to the XFM Winterwonderland thing (Temples/Chvrches/White Lies/Miles Kane/Vaccines) and it was all good as far as I could tell..

Re: Reading Festival

Gah! Bought tickets a few days back, confident in the thought that FT "always" plays Reading.

Just as well I've also got Standon Calling tix (and great memories of a huge night in the o2!).

Unless there's any more UK touring at the other end of this year, that'll have to be my lot for 2014...
